” The Job Description”

1. Oversee the operational stability of SAS platforms, including installation, upgrades, patching, and license management.
2.  Monitor and manage daily DataStage and SAS jobs to meet operational KPIs.
3.  Address alerts and incidents related to data platform.
4. Manage application administration and operation to meet operational KPIs.
5.  Collaborate with IT teams and other stakeholders to address issues.
6.  Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
7.  Generate regular reports on Data Platform performance, processed data, and error trends.
8.  Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
9. Use monitoring tools to track system health and data integrity.
10. Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
11. Ability to analyse   data and identify discrepancies or anomalies.
12. Should be aware of ITSM processes.
13. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
14. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
15. Effective communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.
16. High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

    Requirements:
    

• At least 8 years of production support experience (Experience in Telecom system will be added advantage)
• L2 Application Support/Installation/Configuration experience for product IBM Infosphere DataStage and SAS.
• Ability to Troubleshoot Production/Product related issues.
• Must having knowledge with IBM DataStage administration and Data Integration.
• Must having knowledge on SAS administration and MLOps.
• Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of the EDH, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
• Good knowledge of Python/Shell scripting.
• Monitor data ingestion, processing, and quality assurance processes to ensure a reliable data pipeline.
• Ensure optimal performance of SAS analytics systems by conducting regular monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments for system monitoring and script execution.
• Have hands-on experience of Orace/Teradata.Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in IBM DataStage, SAS, Oracle/Teradata.
