” The Job Description”
- Install all the standard software.
- Reset user password and unlock user account.
- Add and remove user from AD groups.
- Coordinate with isDB/lMDT to push any script or execution file through group
- Policy.
- Creating software images for Notebooks & Desktops.
- Test the software performance and compatibility before creating an image.
- Create and install image on User Notebooks.
- Use the software to create images for user notebooks.
- Create bootable USB and removeable/portable media.
- User access management.
- Troubleshooting application compatibility issues.
- Rectifying Windows Server OS issues.
- Maintaining and managing running services (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, IIS).
- Managing Server’s local storage.
- Monitoring RAM & CPU utilization and responding to any system generated alerts.
- Assisting vendor consultants to upgrade or install applications on the server.
- Monitoring and maintaining end point security.
- Updating all ITFC Server Architecture in Visio.
- Documentation and maintaining hardware and software inventory.
- Maintain license counts and details for physical servers and virtual servers (VMs), including licenses for Windows, subscriptions for Linux OS, and the license limit of hypervisor host.
- Backup and disaster recovery planning. Communicate with the backup team and provide them the data and client priorities for backup.
- Perform backup restoration and Disaster recovery drills.
- Patching Operating system patches for known vulnerabilities must be implemented promptly.
- Assist in Audit assessments and in applying the recommendations.
- Perform Server hardening as per the security standards.
- Install and configure monitoring tools to monitor your IT infrastructure and issue alerts about potential problems.
- Running manual windows update weekly directly from Microsoft online update service.
- Rebooting servers after the windows update completes, ensuring that all services are running successfully after the reboot.
- Manually logging into application and services after a reboot, if required.
- Coordinate with SSL vendors (DigiCert), for the setup of new certificates and renewal of old ones.
- Follow-up invoices and payments.
- Generating CSR file through DigiCert’s SSL certificate portal and submit the file. to IsDB/IMTD security team to create the SSL certificate for the server.
- Coordinate with web host provider for installation of certificates, either internal or external.
- Periodically check if Symantec Agent is outdated or if the agent is nonexistent.
- Request from the Symantec Admin to scan ITFC user machines and provide.
