” The Job Description”
- Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Monitor and manage system performance, availability, and reliability.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of hardware and software.
- Configure and troubleshoot network components (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP).
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with software developers, security engineers, and other IT staff.
- Ensure systems meet business needs and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Manage and maintain virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Provide support for escalated technical issues and incidents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of system administration (Windows/Linux).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of networking protocols and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Network+/Security+.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
