” The Job Description”
- Oversee scalable, resilient network architectures using Arista switches, routers, and software, including Arista EOS and CloudVision.
- Implement and manage EVPN (Ethernet VPN) to support efficient traffic distribution, scalable Layer 2/Layer 3 extension, and multi-site network availability.
- Configure and troubleshoot VXLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN) overlays for seamless network virtualization and segmentation.
- Monitor and manage the Spine and Leaf architecture to ensure optimal performance, redundancy, and fault tolerance.
- Maintain network stability and performance by tracking metrics such as traffic, latency, and throughput.
- Use Arista CloudVision, sFlow, and other third-party tools for network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
- Configure and optimize EVPN-VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other protocols in Layer 2 and Layer 3 environments.
- Implement and manage network security controls, including ACLs, port security, and VLANs.
- Diagnose and resolve network performance and connectivity issues across the infrastructure.
- Provide timely support for network outages, including root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address network-related problems and minimize downtime.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting of EVPN/VXLAN and Spine and Leaf architecture for high availability and performance.
- Resolve issues related to VXLAN encapsulation, overlay networks, multicast routing, and EVPN control-plane protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Spine and Leaf architecture design, deployment, and management, particularly using Arista switches and network fabrics.
- Proficiency with Arista EOS (Extensible Operating System) and the CloudVision platform.
- Advanced skills in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols, including VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and STP.
- Strong experience with EVPN/VXLAN for network overlays and data center interconnects.
- Hands-on experience with Arista EOS, CloudVision, and Arista switches, including the 7050, 7280, and 7500 series.
Required Certifications:
1. Arista Certified Engineering Associate L3 (ACE-3) or higher.
2. Arista Certified Engineering Associate L5 (preferred but not mandatory).
3. Cisco Expert certifications, such as CCIE DC or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, or other relevant networking certifications are a plus (preferred but not mandatory).
