” The Job Description”
- Design, deploy, and manage Nutanix NDB-based DBaaS environments.
- Standardize and automate provisioning, patching, cloning, and backup operations for supported databases.
- Integrate NDB with Nutanix Prism Central and existing infrastructure.
- Implement best practices for database security, backup, DR, and compliance.
- Develop automation scripts and templates using REST APIs, Python, or Ansible.
- Collaborate with database and application teams to define and deliver database services.
- Support database migration and lifecycle operations using NDB.
- Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in database administration (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Nutanix NDB (formerly Era).
- Strong understanding of Nutanix HCI (AOS, AHV) and Prism Central.
- Proficient in automation tools such as Ansible, Python, or REST API scripting.
- Experience in DBaaS implementation, including backup, cloning, patching, and provisioning.
- Knowledge of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery strategies for databases.
- Experience in supporting production-grade database environments.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Nutanix Database As a service(NDB) is a must.
- Proficiency in Nutanix Prism Central and automation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure projects and deliver results.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Nutanix experience on non-Nutanix HW is required.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid infrastructure.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices as applied to infrastructure automation.
- Preferred banking experience.
