” The Job Description”
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Oracle Hyperion Planning applications.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical designs.
- Develop and maintain Planning forms, business rules, calculation scripts, and task lists.
- Build and optimize Essbase cubes (BSO/ASO) to support planning and forecasting models.
- Design and manage metadata, data loads, and integrations with source systems via FDMEE or ODI.
- Configure security, workflow, and approval processes within the Planning application.
- Provide end-user support and training for Planning and budgeting processes.
- Collaborate with finance teams during budget cycles, forecast submissions, and close periods.
- Support application upgrades, patching, and environment migrations in coordination with DBA teams.
- Document technical designs, process flows, and user guides.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning (11.x or higher).
- Proven experience in implementing Planning and Budgeting solutions across industries.
- Strong understanding of Essbase (BSO/ASO), Smart View, and Excel integration.
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Reporting and Web Analysis.
- Familiarity with FDMEE, ODI, or other ETL tools for data integration.
- Experience with Hyperion security models, approval workflows, and task lists.
- Exposure to Hyperion Cloud (EPBCS/PBCS) is a strong plus.
- Involvement in full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to go-live and support.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Proficiency in writing business rules, calculation scripts, and Essbase formulas.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with finance users, stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Experience working in agile or waterfall project environments.
- Capable of leading workshops, training sessions, and user adoption activities.
- Certification in Oracle EPM Planning or Cloud (optional but preferred).
