Backup System Administration managed service is the activities associated with the maintenance and support of existing and future for the SEB’s backup system which includes the responsibility for managing its performance, recovery, and integrity; below are details of required service to be deliver by the Managed Services Provider:
1- Administrate, manage, support, and fix all issues related to the backup infrastructure (HW/SW) in SEB.
2-Manage all changes, upgrades, patches, and enhancement related to backup infrastructure (HW/SW).
3- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve backup infrastructure (HW/SW) incidents and problems.
4- Responsible to operate and maintain the health of the backup infrastructure (HW/SW).
5- Participate and support all IT changes when required.
6- Weekly and monthly analyses report with enhancements recommendations for infrastructure (HW/SW).
7- Service provider shall have 5 years minimum experience in Commvault technologies.
8-Manage the backup operation which includes, but not limited to:
-Monitor tapes vaulting,
-Adding new IT assets to the backup system,
-Fixing reported backup issues,
-Restore backups …etc.
9- Monitor backup infrastructure (HW/SW) utilization and analysis the trend on resource and report it in monthly bases with recommendations of enhancements.
10-Conduct system performance and capacity forecasting for infrastructure (HW and SW) as well as tapes demand.
11-Open cases, incidents, or service requests with the backup infrastructure (HW and SW) vendors whenever required or needed; and manage it end-to-end.
12- Contributing to SEB knowledge management database.
