  1. Train highly skilled engineers in server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage.
  2. Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor team performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  3.  Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  4.  Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  5. Design, implement, and maintain robust server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage infrastructure that meets the organization’s evolving needs.
  6. Ensure the security, reliability, and high performance of these environments.
  7. Stay abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage.
  9. Lead and manage projects related to server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
  10.  Coordinate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
  11. Manage project timelines and resources effectively.
  12.  Forecast future requirements for server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage and plan accordingly to avoid capacity constraints.
  13.  Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  14.  Implement strategies for virtualization, consolidation, and automation to improve performance and scalability.
  15.  Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage.
  16. Test and maintain disaster recovery procedures to ensure their effectiveness.
  17.  Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure a coordinated response to incidents and disruptions.
  18.  Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements for server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage security and data protection.
  19.  Implement security measures to protect these environments from vulnerabilities, threats, and unauthorized access.
  20.  Regularly review and update security policies and procedures.
  21.  Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage processes, procedures, and standards.
  22. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in team operations.
  23.  Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and documentation to support team collaboration and continuity.

    Requirements:

  • +7 years proven experience in managing teams focused on server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage in complex IT environments.
  •  Deep understanding of  Strong understanding of server hardware components and architectures. Experience with various server platforms (e.g., Dell, HP, IBM and Lenovo).
  •   Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Citrix),  SAN storage protocols and standards. Such as SAN, NAS, RAID, Fiber Channel, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, and SMB and SAN storage different platforms (IBM, EMC and Huawei Dorado).
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate team members.
  •  Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  •  Relevant certifications in server hardware, virtualization, and SAN storage (e.g., VMware Certified Advanced Professional, CompTIA A+, EMC Proven Professional).
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is beneficial.
  •  A strong understanding of IT security best practices is essential.
  • Experience in working with professionals from other cultures.
  •  Excellent spoken and written English.
